Return, Refund and Exchange Policy
At Perfect Fit Interior, we want you to feel confident when purchasing our kitchen and wardrobe accessories. This policy explains when returns, refunds, replacements and exchanges may be available for products purchased through our website.
1. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
2. Change of Mind Returns
We may accept change of mind returns on selected products where:
- the return is requested within 14 days of delivery
- the item is unused, uninstalled, and in original condition
- the item is returned in original packaging with all parts and accessories
- proof of purchase is provided
Change of mind returns are not accepted for:
- special order items
- custom-made, made-to-order, or non-standard products
- clearance or sale items
- products that have been installed, used, damaged, or altered after delivery
- items returned without original packaging where resale is not possible
If a change of mind return is approved, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
3. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.
If your item is:
- damaged in transit
- faulty
- missing parts
- incorrect
- not as described
please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:
- your order number
- photos of the product and packaging
- a brief description of the issue
Where a product has a major problem, you may choose a refund or replacement in line with your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Where the problem is minor, we may offer a repair, replacement, or other suitable remedy.
4. Items That Must Not Be Returned Without Approval
Do not send any item back before contacting us and receiving return instructions.
Unauthorised returns may be refused or delayed.
5. Return Conditions
To be eligible for an approved return, the product must:
- be securely packaged
- include all original components, fittings, manuals and accessories
- be accompanied by proof of purchase
- not show signs of installation, misuse, or accidental damage unless the issue is due to a fault
We reserve the right to inspect returned items before approving a refund, exchange, or replacement.
6. Refunds
Once a returned item is received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.
If a refund is approved:
- refunds will be processed to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed
- original shipping charges may not be refunded for change of mind returns
- return shipping costs for change of mind returns are the customer’s responsibility
- for faulty products or where required by law, we will provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with Australian Consumer Law
Please allow 5 to 10 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your payment provider.
7. Exchanges
Exchanges may be offered for eligible items where stock is available.
If you would like a different size, style, or model, please contact us first so we can confirm availability and the exchange process.
8. Non-Returnable Items
Unless required by law, we do not accept returns for:
- custom or made-to-order products
- products cut, modified, or specially sourced for your order
- installed items
- clearance or final sale items
- items damaged due to incorrect installation, misuse, neglect, or normal wear and tear
9. Return Shipping
Where a return is approved:
- customers are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping for change of mind returns
- return shipping for faulty or incorrect items will be handled according to the remedy offered and your rights under law
- we recommend using tracked shipping for approved returns
Perfect Fit Interior is not responsible for returns lost or damaged in transit if sent by the customer.
